Dans l’introduction de son édition du Florimont d’Aimon de Varennes, où il s’efforce de déterminer les sources de ce roman, A. Hilka n’a fait que quelques minces références à Erec et Enide. Cependant le ms. BnF, fr 1376 associe ces deux romans et eux seuls. Cet article s’interroge sur la signification possible de cette association, et s’efforce de faire ressortir les parentés qui rapprochent ces deux romans et peuvent justifier leur association du point de vue de la réception, indépendamment de la question des sources qui seule intéressait A. Hilka. Apparaissent ainsi des convergences importantes, à la fois microstructurelles et macrostructurelles, qui vont bien au-delà de la réutilisation classique du schéma « morganien ». Le rapprochement opéré par le ms. BnF, fr 1376 est donc parfaitement signifiant.

In the introduction to his edition of the Florimont by Aimon de Varennes, where he sets out to identify the possible sources of the romance, A. Hilka makes very few references to Erec et Enide. The Bnf, fr, 1376 Paris manuscript, however, brings these two texts together, and them only. This paper aims to explore the possible significance of this association and bring out the similarities that might justify their association from the point of view of reception, independently from the issue of the sources, which was Hilka’s sole concern. This reveals important micro-structural as well as macro- structural convergences that go far beyond the standard reuse of the « morganian » pattern. The association proposed by the Bnf, fr 1376 ms thus proves to be thoroughly significant.
