Disamina del ruolo e dell’importanza di Gaston Paris nello sviluppo degli studi filologici in Italia alla fine dell’Ottocento. La ricostruzione dei rapporti fra Paris e i pricipali studiosi europei ed italiani sono ricostruiti grazie anche a materiale epistolare inedito.

The author examines the role and the importance of Gaston Paris in the development of philological studies in Italy at the end of the 19th century. The reconstruction of the relations between Paris and the main European and Italian scholars are reconstructed thanks also to new epistolary material.
