En este trabajo se analiza la transmisión textual de las rúbricas en los dos testimonios conservados de la traducción medieval del Decameron en castellano. El examen demuestra, por una parte, que no existe equivalencia entre las rúbricas de ambos testimonios, aunque por lo general se observa una tendencia a la abbreviatio y un intento – que se acaba frustrando – por mantener cierta homogeneidad de forma y contenido. Sin embargo, por otro lado, el estudio comparativo permite pensar que el arquetipo era mucho más próximo al texto de Boccaccio de lo que nos han transmitido los dos testimonios castellanos.

This work analyzes the textual transmission of the rubrics in the two preserved testimonies of the medieval translation of the Decameron in Spanish. The examination proves, on the one hand, that there is no equivalence between the rubrics of both testimonies, although there is generally a tendency to abbreviatio and an attempt – eventually frustrated – to maintain a certain homogeneity of form and content. However, on the other hand, the comparative study suggests that the archetype was much closer to Boccaccio’s text than what the Castilian testimonies have transmitted to us.
